Y82-200L Vertical Baler Delivered to Sri Lanka — Solving Local Recycling Challenges

Y82-200L Vertical Baler Delivered to Sri Lanka — Solving Local Recycling Challenges

Project Background

Sri Lanka has been actively promoting recycling and environmental protection as part of its sustainable development strategy. With rapid urbanization, the volume of recyclable materials such as cardboard, plastic film, PET bottles, and waste paper has increased significantly. Local recycling facilities, warehouses, and resource recovery companies urgently need efficient and stable compaction equipment. However, traditional balers in use often suffer from low efficiency, loosely compressed bales, frequent breakdowns, and high logistics costs. The customer sought a reliable vertical baler to improve compression efficiency, optimize warehouse space, and reduce transportation expenses.

Reasons for Choosing Our Solution

After evaluating multiple suppliers and discussing project requirements, the Sri Lankan customer ultimately chose our Y82-200L Vertical Baler for the following key reasons:

  1. Well-Suited for Local Recyclables
The Sri Lankan recycling market primarily handles paper and plastic materials, including cardboard, plastic film, PET, and waste paper. The Y82-200L is specifically designed for these types of light recyclable materials and can produce high-density bales that significantly reduce material volume.

  2. High Compression Efficiency and Reliability
Equipped with a 200-ton press force and 30 kW motor, the Y82-200L can compress materials into dense bales weighing 500–800 kg. This reduces warehouse space usage and improves handling efficiency.

  3. Reduced Transportation and Storage Costs
Due to Sri Lanka’s dispersed geography and relatively high logistics costs, minimizing material volume directly translates into lower freight expenses. With large bale sizes (1800×1000×(500–1200)mm), container loading becomes more efficient, cutting logistics costs substantially.

  4. Flexible Operation
The baler supports both manual and semi-automatic operation modes, making it easy for local operators to learn while adapting to different job site requirements.

  5. Quality and Reliability Assurance
Manufactured in compliance with ISO9001:2000, our machine ensures high quality and long-term performance under heavy usage. We also provide a comprehensive after-sales support system to give overseas customers peace of mind.

Shipping and Implementation

To ensure smooth delivery to Colombo Port, Sri Lanka, we provided a CIF quotation (Cost, Insurance, and Freight included) to simplify the procurement process. The machine was shipped from our Chinese factory via sea freight to Colombo Port, after which the customer took care of customs clearance and inland logistics.

Upon arrival, we offered remote guidance and coordinated with local technical support to assist with installation and commissioning, ensuring the machine was quickly operational.

Customer Feedback and Results

After installation and commissioning, the customer reported:

“The Y82-200L has significantly improved our processing efficiency. It produces dense and stable bales, especially for cardboard and plastics, which has reduced the number of transport trips. The logistics cost savings are noticeable, and the machine runs reliably with low maintenance.”

With this baler in operation, the customer realized significant savings in storage and transportation costs. Their recycling workflow became more efficient, contributing to better competitiveness and environmental performance.aktueller Firmenfall über Y82-200L Vertical Baler Delivered to Sri Lanka — Solving Local Recycling Challenges 0
